They collapsed just like Sri Lanka and got all out with 83 runs on board. Virat Kohli finally scored his 49th One Day International Century, equalising with his idol Sachin Tendulkar. Rabindra Jadeja achieved 5 wickets hall, being the 2nd ever Indian spinner after Yuvraj Singh to achieve this mark in World Cup.
On Sunday Virat Kohli celebrated his 35th birthday in style at Eden Gardens Kolkata. He scored his 49th International One day century, equalising with Sachin Tendulkar. The pitch was not easy to bat today. Though Rohit Sharma and Shubman was looking comfortable and Rohit initially played some big shots, India was two wicket down just after 10th over. Pithch was pretty slow to carry the ball. Dependable Virat Kohli played a responsible innings. With Shreyas Iyer (77 runs off 87 balls) he constructed 134 runs partnership. And remain unbeaten with 101 runs off 121 balls. Suryakumar Yadav (22 off 14 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (29 off 15 balls) played quick innings and too india to a formidable total of 326 runs in 50 overs.
Indian bowling was again top notch today. Quinton de Kock is in great form in this world cup. But Mohammed Siraj got him out early today. Then Ravindra Jadeja striked and picked Temba Bavuma.
