India vs England 3rd Test: Rohit-Jadeja Centuries, Sarfaraz Khan 62, Put India To 326/5

Skipper Rohit Sharma scored test century after almost one year. Ravindra Jadeja slammed an unbeaten 110 to help India reach 326/5 at stumps on Day 1 of the ongoing third Test in Rajkot. Sarfaraz Khan, on debut, made 62 and completed his 50 in just 48 balls before getting run out after a mix-up with Jadeja. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel made their debut for India.

Today winning the toss Rohit Sharma decided to bat first. But India got off to a poor start as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rajat Patidar departed quickly. India were reeling at 33 for 3 when Ravindra Jadeja joined hands with Rohit Sharma. The pair tormented the English attack and added 204 runs for the fourth wicket. Rohit Sharma scored his 11th Test century before getting out at 131. Sarfaraz Khan played magnificently on his debut test. He was run out after playing a magnificent innings of 62 runs in 66 balls. He slammed the joint-fastest fifty for India on debut. He reached the landmark on the 48th delivery and equalled Hardik Pandya’s record. Jadeja was on 99 when his hesitation led to Sarfaraz being run out. A furious Rohit was seen hurling his cap on the floor in the pavilion after the dismissal.

Jadeja was batting on 110 at stumps after scoring his fourth Test hundred, with nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep came out to bat after Sarfaraz Khan.
