India vs England 3rd Test 3rd Day: Jaiswal’s Century! India lead by 317 runs

Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored a magnificent century which took the game away from England in the final session of India vs England 3rd Test Day 3 in Rajkot. India’s total is 196/2 and the lead is 322 at the end of Day 3. Yashasvi Jaiswal retired hurt after the century. Shubman Gill (65) and Kuldeep Yadav (3) stay unbeaten at the crease.

Today India put on a brilliant show with ball. Though Aswin had to go back home in middle of test due to medical emergency in family. A day where England would have hoped to make full use of Ashwin’s absence and put themselves in a great position, instead they have thrown it away. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Root, while Kuldeep trapped Jonny Bairstow LBW. Duckett’s 153 runs innings comes to an end, caught by Gill bowled Kuldeep Yadav. English skipper Stokes (41) tried to built the score but after his dismissial Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja dismantled England’s tail. The touring side collapsed, losing its last five wickets for just 20 runs. England got all out with 319 runs on board.

India started their second innings with 126 runs lead. Although skipper Rohit Sharma fell early on 19, Jaiswal anchored the innings alongside Gill. Jaiswal, battling a back issue, retired hurt on 104 from 133 balls, marked his second century of the series. Jaiswal’s partnership with Gill yielded 155 runs, with the former’s aggressive strokeplay including nine boundaries and five sixes. He was expertly supported by Shubman Gill, who contributed 65 runs from 120 deliveries. Shubman Gill (65) and nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav (3) were at the crease at the end of the day with a lead of 322 runs.
