India team for the upcoming T20I series against Australia set to begin on November 23, announced. Seniors like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami will not play the series. Suryakumar Yadav has been announced as captain of Team India for the series. Jasprit Bumrah is also not part of the squad.
The first match of the five match series will take place at Visakhapatnam on November 23. The second T20I will be played on November 26 in Thiruvananthapuram followed by the third match on November 28 in Guwahati. The fourth match will be taking place on December 1 in Raipur. The fifth and final match will take place on December 3 in Bengaluru. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the vice-captain for the first three match. Shreyas Iyer will not be available for first three matchs. He will join the squad as vice-captain for the last two T20Is in Raipur and Bengaluru. Among India’s gold-medal winning team at the Asian Games, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, and Jitesh Sharma are in the squad.
