Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma Not in South Africa Series
Indian cricket fans will miss Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa. As per the news have requested for a break before Test series. Currently T20I series against Australia is going on. They are not playing the series along with some other senior players. Now they will miss the ODI series against South Africa also.
The ODI series against South Africa scheduled from December 17 to 21. In absence of Rohit Sharma most probably KL Rahul is going to lead the Indian Side. Though it has not been confirmed yet. Indian T20 captain Hardik Pandya will also miss the series. He was ruled out of the World Cup team due to his ankle injury during the match against Bangladesh in World Cup 2023.
Sharma and Kohli’s last appearance in T20Is was in the T20 World Cup 2022, where India faced elimination in the semifinals against England. Since then, Hardik Pandya has taken charge of the T20I side. The upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the Caribbean and the USA after the Indian Premier League 2024. According to the scenario, Kohli and Rohit are not in the selectors plan. In that case, they will focus on ODI and Test.
