Rahul Dravid’s term as the head coach of Team India has officially ended with the conclusion of the ODI World Cup 2023, winning 10 matches in a row. Under Dravid, India did not win the World Cup but they were outstanding throughout the tournament. They are currently Ranked Number 1 in all three formats. According to report, BCCI is likely to hold a meeting with Dravid. Then his future course of action will be decided. Dravid wants to spend much time with family. But for his busy schedule and travelling with the Indian team, it’s not possible. Bring a part of IPL will allow him to do so. As we all know, after Gautam Gambhir moved to KKR, the mentor post of LSG is vacant.
Goutam Gambhir was the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants. He served for two years at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Gambhir was the KKR captain from 2011 to 2017. Within that period, the team claimed the title twice, made it to the playoffs five times, and even reached the finals of the Champions League T20 in 2014. Gambhir has won Kolkata Knight Riders two IPL titles, including 2012 and 2014. So, actually returning to KKR as mentor is his home coming. Now LSG want Dravid to be a part of their support staff as mentor. If Dravid does not continue as the head coach of India then it is possible for him to join the Sanjiv Goyenka team.
