IPL 2024 : Sunrisers Hyderabad demolished Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad demolished Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Wednesday. Lucknow scored 165 for 4 in 20 overs. SRH chase down the target in less than 10 overs with 10 wickets remaining. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head both remained not out.

KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat in match No. 57 of the Indian Premier League season 2024. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the wickets of De Kock and Marcus Stoinis (3) inside the first four overs. Ayush Badoni played a brilliant knock of 55 off 30 balls. He scored his half-century off 28 balls.  Badoni (55) and Pooran’s (48) unbeaten partnership of 99-run helped Lukcknow set a 166-run target for Hyderabad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the bowling attack with two wickets and an economy rate of just 3.00.

Today SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma smashed the LSG bowlers. They scored 107 runs in the first powerplay. Head scored his half-century off 16 balls. Abhishek completed his half-century off 19 balls. Abhishek (75) and Head (89) completed the 166-run chase in just 9.4 overs. Never before have so many runs ever been scored in the first 10 overs of an IPL game. Head (89 not out, 30 balls, 8×4, 8×6) and Sharma (75 not out, 28 balls, 8×4, 6×6) toyed with LSG bowlers.
