Another win for Kolkata Knight Riders. They won by 98 runs against Lucknow Super Giants at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Sunday night. The duo of Narine and Salt once again set and KKR posted 235 on the board. Then LSG got all out on 137.
Narine and Phil Salt (32) provided the explosive start for KKR before Salt got out. They combined for a rapid 61-run partnership. Narine continued his onslaught in this game too. He brought up his fifty off 27 balls and scored an explosive 81 off 39 balls. In the middle The LSG bowlers were able to rein in the KKR batters as they keep taking wickets. After Rinku Singh (16) and Shreyas Iyer (23), Ramandeep Singh’s unbeaten 25 off 6 balls took KKR to a formidable total of 235 for six against the hosts.
Kulkarni was got out by Starc quite early with a brilliant catch from Ramandeep. Then Rahul (25 off 21 balls) and Stoinis (36 off 21 balls) played a 50-run-stand. But after Harshit Rana got Rahul, LSG kept losing wickets. Russell took two important wickets of Stoinis and Pooran. Narine got one wicket. Chakaravarthy and Rana both got three wickets each.
