Virat smashed his 8th IPL 100 off 67 balls, Butter slammed a wonderful century to lead RR to a 6-wicket victory over RCB. Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced their third consecutive defeat in IPL 2024. RR is on the top of points table now.
Rajasthan Royals won the crucial toss at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and decided to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis began the opening. They constructed 125-runs opening partnership. Faf du Plessis scored 44 off 33 balls. Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 113 runs from 72 deliveries, smashing his 8th IPL century. RCB posted 183/3 in 20 overs.
Rajasthan Royals began their chase with the early loss of Yashaswi Jaiswal on the second ball of the innings. But from there on, Jos Buttler and skipper Sanju Samson brought Rajasthan back in the game. The duo made 148 runs for the second wicket stand. Sanju scored 69 runs off 42 balls. Smashing unbeaten 100 in his 100th game off 58 balls, Buttler eclipsed Kohli’s century and helped RR to get their 4th win in a row.
