IND vs AUS : Maxwell Took the Game Away beating India by 5 Wickets

India lost the third T20I match against Australia by 5 wickets in 5 matches series after winning two matches in a row. After winning the toss, Australian skipper Matthew Wade decided to bowl first against India in the third T20I at Guwahati. Maxwell took the game away from India. He has done something only he can do. It was an absolute run-feast today, 447 runs were scored.

Batting first India scored 222 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Ishan Kishan (0) early. Then skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Ruturaj Gaikwad played 57 runs partnership. Yadav got out after scoring 39 runs off 29 balls. But Ruturaj was in top of his form today. He scored his maiden T20I hundred. He remained unbeaten and scored 123 runs off 57 balls with 13 fours and 7 sixes. Tilak Varma supported him with 31 runs off 24 balls.

Australia lost some early wickets. After Aaron Hardie (16), Travis Head (35), Josh Inglis (10) got out, Glenn Maxwell guided Australia towards victory. Marcus Stoinis (17), Matthew Wade (28) could not do much as Maxwell kept the momentum going. Matthew Wade played an important hand too right towards the end and Maxwell got to his century in the last over. Prasidh Krishna could not defend 21 runs in the last over. Maxwell scored 104 off 48 balls with 8 fours and 8 sixes. He has been awarded as the player of the match also. Australia come up clutch to keep the series alive with 2-1.
