IND vs AFG 3rd T20I : India won the High Voltage Match in 2nd Super Over

India won the high voltage 3rd T20I match of the series against Afghanistan at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru in 2nd super over. Rohit Sharma scored a super hundred after his 2 ducks in the first two games. After India got stuck in 22 for 4, Rohit made a record 5th wicket partnership with Rinku Singh. He is also the hero of super over. The Indian skipper rightfully awarded as player of the match.

It was a batting display from India and Afghanistan both team at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. India opted to bat first. But Fareed Ahmad Malik strike early. Jaiswal got out for 4. Kohli and Samson went back with Duck. Star of previous two matches, Shivam Dube scored only 1. Soon India was stuck in 22 for 4 in 4.3 overs. Then Skipper Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh took the charge. They made a record unbeaten 5th wicket stand of 190 runs. Rohit scored 121* off 69 balls with 11 fours and 8 sixes. Rinku scored 69* off 39 balls with 2 fours and 6 sixes. India finished in 212 for 4 in 20 overs.

Afghanistan also batted very well. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 50 off 32 balls. Ibrahim Zadran scored 50 off 41 balls. They made 93 runs opening partnership. Then Mohammad Nabi scored 34 off 16 balls and Gulbadin Naib scored unbeaten 55 off 23 balls. They also scored 212 in 20 over. Afghanistan fought hard to drag the match into a super over. Then the real drama begins. India equalled Afghanistan’s score of 16 in the first super over. Again another super over was played. Afghanistan could not chase down a target of 12 in the second super. Ravi Bishnoi picked the required two wickets for India and Rahit Sharma side won the 2nd super over by 10 runs. India bagged the T20I series against Afghanistan with 3-0 margin.
