Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal show destroyed the Afghan bowling to take India to a comfortable 6 wickets win over Afghanistan at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Winning the second match India bagged the T20I series against the guests. Despite losing skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal played their ideal Knocks. As India take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Batting first, Gulbadin Naib was the most successful batter for Afghanistan. He smashed a 35-ball 57, which had four boundaries and four sixes. Najibullah Zadran (23), Karim Janat (20) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21) also gave useful contributions. Afghanistan got 172 runs in 20 overs losing all wickets. Axal Patel bowled well, giving only 17 runs in 4 overs getting 2 wickets. But all other indian bowlers were expensive today.
India lost Rohit Sharma on the very first over of their innings. But Jaiswal played superb knock. He attacked Mujeeb and Noor Ahmad, getting to a 27-ball fifty. He scored 68 runs in 34 balls with five fours and six sixes. Kohli played overly aggressive innings of 29 runs in 16 balls. Another impressive knock was from Shivam Dube. He notched up a 22-ball fifty and stayed till the end to help his team cross the target in 15.4 overs. He scored 63 in 32 balls. India got the 2-0 lead in the series with this victory.
