Pakistan faced a batting collapse in the game after Babar Azam’s dismissal.
India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan got a comfortable start today. Siraj got the first victory for India. Then Hardik Pandya got Imam-ul-Haq. Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) built a comfortable partnership of 82 runs. But soon Pakistan crashed from 155/2 (29.3 overs) to 191 all out in 42.5 overs. Bumrah took 2/19 in seven overs and Kuldeep picked 2/35 in 10 overs. Apart from Kuldeep and Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja all got two wickets each.
Then Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma hammered a 36-ball half-century. He scored 86 runs off 63 balls, including six fours and six sixes. After early dismissal of Shubhman Gill and Virat Kohli, Rohit built the partnership with Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas got to his half century with a boundary, which was also the winning runs, finishing unbeaten on 53 off 62 balls. KL Rahul was also unbeaten in 19 off 29 balls. India finished with 192/3 in 30.3 overs. Team India managed to produce an all-round dominant display over Pakistan to secure a win by seven wickets.
