vAsian Games 2023 is going on in China. The qualifier rounds already completed. On October 3 Indian Men Cricket Team will face Nepal in Asian Games Cricket Quarter Final. The India vs Nepal match will played at ZJUT Cricket Field in Hangzhou. The match will start at 6:30 AM (Indian time).
Young captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the Indian men’s team in its maiden Asian Games cricket campaign. India will be favourites for gold medal here. The women’s team already had clinched the gold for the country. Gaikwad is an important member of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He played under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy. On upcoming match against Nepal he said, “I got to learn a lot of things from him (MS Dhoni), but every person has a different style. His style is different, his personality is different and my personality is a bit different.”
Gaikwad also said, “I will try to be myself and not really look at what he usually does. Obviously, yes you have to pick out some things which he does really well, how he handles situations and how he handles particular players during a match.” “Obviously, these are few things I really took from him, but I would like to lead the way I want to. I just want the players to express themselves and give how much ever freedom that I can”, the captain concluded.
