Pakistan Men Cricket Team arrived Hyderabad to play upcoming ODI World Cup. After long 7 years the Pakistan Cricket Team appeared in the country to play International Cricket. Before this they came at the time of 2016 T20 World Cup. Wednesday finally Pakistan team arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Pakistan squad reached Hyderabad from Lahore via Dubai. Both India and Pakistan only face each other in Asia Cup and ICC events due to the tense relations between the two countries. But in long seven years not a single match was arranged on Pakistan or Indian soil. Pakistan will spend a lot of time in Hyderabad. They received a warm welcome at Hyderabad airport. Excited crowds cheered and shouted captain Babar Azam’s name. Later Pakistan Captain Babar Azam also shared an Instagram story saying, “Overwhelmed with the love support here in Hyderabad.” Pakistan Cricket Board also posted a video of Pak-team arrival on their official X handle and said, “A warm welcome in Hyderabad as we land on Indian shores.”
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 begins on 5 October and concludes on 19 November. Ahead of the World Cup, the ‘Men in Green’ team will play their warm-up match against New Zealand. That match is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on September 29. They will start their campaign for the World Cup against the Netherlands on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for October 14 in Ahmedabad.
